Oh, did I ever want to beat a horse! 
With gas prices as high as they are, we came up with the bright idea to minimize our grass cutting by letting the animals out in the yard several times a week. It does help to increase the time between cuttings and it is less wasteful – UNTIL THEY GET INTO THE GARDEN!! I only planted enough corn for us to eat fresh, none for putting up and he ate at least a third of it. And you would know he’d have to be my horse, not Lynn’s, not Bruce’s – mine…. 
God does have a sense of humor! chuckle….

Ahhh….been there done that! The first year we got a horse—we had also just planted a garden. He wouldn’t run off so we’d let him wander around the yard. Oh my…did he ever wander. Right into the corn patch! Everything was flattened! Completely and totally destroyed! But he was happy~~~~
