Wow, life has really picked up speed here lately! We’ve had a great deal going on…
First off, a little more than a week ago we had the priviledge to meet the Hinton’s! They were in town from the great state of VA for a little family time with the oldest Hinton young’un. Having heard so much about them, we begged and pestered Jarod until he knew he’d have no peace unless he gave in and shared an afternoon with us! It was a great day full of bowling, skeet shooting, volleyball and cards. Not to mention eating and fellowshipping. Truthfully, I should’ve said fellowshipping first. It’s not often you “fall in” with a new family so readily. What a blessing the day was! A great change of pace.
The guys at the bowling alley: Bruce, Matt, Jarod, and Caleb. The competition was pretty strong between the 4 of them! But they all found out victory depended on bowling “straight.”
Nasia had it figured out by the end of the first game. I so enjoyed watching her balance that ball!
After a little instruction, Truman stole the show – hitting the first 3 skeet he’d ever shot at in his life!
(Aahh…the power company just drove up to let us know they’re working on the lines and are fixing to cut off our power. Perfect timing…Lynn’s got bread almost ready for the oven and I’m in the midst of this… LOL! Well, I’ll be back later. )
Okay, the lights (and a.c. -whew) are back on. I just spent the past 2 1/2 hours practicing piano and reading. ‘Twas a very nice, forced break. It’s amazing how little can be done now-a-days without electricity…
Where was I … oh yeah I was just fixin’ to download a pic of Hannah…
I do believe this is the sweetest gunhandler I’ve ever seen.
The evening ended (after volleyball played into the dark) with cards and sudden bursts of singin’! BTW, you older Hinton guys need to beware. The best of y’all’s family humor has yet to be known!!
